CommVault India Development Center extends our global Development Center in Oceanport, New Jersey in innovating new products and enhancing the existing products. It is the second largest CommVault's Product Development Center outside corporate headquarters in Oceanport, NJ, U.S.A. Engineers at CommVault IDC are provided with opportunities in developing world class data management products using various cutting edge technologies on almost all operating systems including Windows, various flavors of UNIX and Netware. Dealing with heterogeneous environments consisting of complex Networks (LAN & WAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) is part of a daily routine for an engineer at CommVault.

A few responsibilities of our engineers include:

  • Design, Develop, test and support solutions in the domain of data management
  • Continuously evolve the product suite to accommodate latest applications, technology and regulatory trends
  • Become a Software Engineer – Learn various stages of product development including Design, Development, Quality Assurance and Product support
  • Development using C/C++, .NET and JAVA
  • Work in complex networking scenarios using TCP/IP
  • Work with cutting edge storage technologies like NAS and SAN
  • Work with hardware devices like RAID arrays, Tape Libraries etc.
  • Analyze performance aspects of software products using cutting edge technologies like Rational Purify, Bounds Checker etc.
  • Work on Device driver development







 

Product Development

Engineers at IDC are part of every stage in product development life cycle of Simpana suite. IDC takes ownership of products and features from design to delivery. Various groups at IDC work hand in hand with Engineering team at corporate in Oceanport, NJ in almost all areas of Simpana suite. Working with the support team located in Hyderabad provides an opportunity for the engineers to understand how the product is deployed and learn the challenges involved with the real production environments.
